Ingredients

Chicken and Sauce

  • 24 oz bag of crispy boneless chicken bites (or your favorite frozen chicken nuggets/bites)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp Frank's Red Hot hot sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne powder

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 16 oz jar pickle chips

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken: Cook the chicken bites in the air fryer or oven according to the package instructions until hot and crispy. Meanwhile, slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, trying to keep the top half attached, and set the tops aside.
  2. Prepare garlic mayo spread: In a small bowl, mix the mayo with garlic powder until combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns.
  3. Make the hot honey butter sauce: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Frank's Red Hot sauce, paprika, and cayenne powder until well blended.
  4. Coat the chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it into the bowl with the hot honey butter sauce and toss thoroughly until every piece is coated in the spicy-sweet sauce.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Pile the saucy chicken bites onto the mayo-spread bottom buns. Layer pickle slices over the chicken, then place the top halves of the buns back on.
  6. Serve: Using a sharp knife, cut the assembled sandwich into individual sliders, even if some pickles or chicken pieces get sliced. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use any crispy frozen chicken bites or nuggets if you don’t have a 24 oz bag.
  • Adjust the cayenne powder to your preferred spice level for more or less heat.
  • Keeping the buns attached while slicing helps make assembly easier.
  • The sliders are best served fresh and warm for optimal crispiness and flavor.
